I make one of the apps on this list, so I'll tell you how I kept it fair. Every price comes from each company's own pricing page as of October 2026, or from G2 and Capterra when a company doesn't publish one. And where another app beats LazzoLead, I say so.
This list is for small sales teams, 1 to 10 reps, who work their own booth. If you're running a 200-person event program, you'll weigh things differently.

How to choose
Four questions sort most teams out fast:
- Do you need badge scanning? If most people at your shows hand you a badge instead of a card, pick an app that scans badges, and check whether the show requires its own lead retrieval license.
- Do you need live CRM sync? If your CRM is the center of everything, a native sync saves real time. If you're working from a spreadsheet, a clean export is plenty.
- Who's doing the follow-up? Capture is only half the job. Look at what happens after the scan: notes, scoring, drafted emails, reminders.
- Can you live with a contract? Annual agreements make sense for big programs. For a few shows a year, month to month is easier to justify.
The 7 apps
LazzoLead
Best for small teams who want the follow-up handled, not just the capture.
Full disclosure, this one's mine. LazzoLead is a phone app and a web dashboard. You scan a business card in about 5 seconds, scan a stack of up to 10 at once, or just say the lead out loud. It works with zero signal on the floor. Every lead gets scored and researched, and the app drafts a follow-up email from your notes so you can send it before you leave the booth. Show Mode tags every lead to the show and emails you a recap when it ends.
Price: $49 a month or $490 a year per rep, one plan with everything. Your first 25 leads are free, no credit card, no contract.
- You work your own booth and want follow-up built in
- You want to see the price before talking to anyone
- You don't want an annual contract
- No badge scanning. It scans business cards, not event badges
- CRM is a CSV export mapped for Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive, not a live sync
- No team accounts yet. Each rep has their own account for now, and shared team accounts are on the way
Blinq
Best budget pick, especially if your team wants digital business cards too.
Blinq started as a digital business card app and has grown a real lead capture side. Its scanner reads business cards, badges and QR codes, keeps working offline, and syncs to 20+ CRMs natively. It also has an AI notetaker and contact enrichment on paid plans.
Price: a free plan that includes the scanner. Premium is $9.99 a month ($7.33 billed yearly). Business, with badge scanning and team admin, is $6.99 per user a month ($4.99 billed yearly).
- Price per person matters most
- You want digital business cards and capture in one app
- You need a native CRM sync
- Per-user pricing adds up as the team grows
- Team features and badge scanning are on the Business plan
Wave Connect
Best for teams who mainly want digital business cards.
Wave is a digital business card platform with lead capture forms on every plan and CRM sync from Pro up. The trade show tools, a paper card scanner, an event badge scanner and offline mode, are listed on its Enterprise plan.
Price: free for personal use, Pro $7 a month, Teams $5 per user a month with a 3-seat minimum. Enterprise is through sales.
- Digital business cards are the main goal
- You want low per-seat pricing
- Card scanning, badge scanning and offline mode are Enterprise features
Popl
Best for larger organizations rolling out event capture across many people.
Popl offers an AI badge scanner that works at any event and offline, contact and company enrichment, and integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo and 30+ others. Enterprise customers get a dedicated success manager.
Price: not published. Popl quotes pricing in a meeting, and says plans include unlimited events, users and leads.
- You have many reps and many events
- Live CRM sync and enrichment are must-haves
- You'll need a sales call to learn the price
- More platform than a small team may need
Cvent iCapture
Best for enterprises already running events on Cvent.
iCapture is now part of Cvent. It captures badges and cards, works offline and syncs later, and connects to major CRMs. It fits best when your company already lives in the Cvent world.
Price: not published. G2 lists plans starting around $8,000 a year. There's no free tier.
- You already use Cvent
- You run many large shows a year
- Annual service agreement
- Pricing is built for enterprise budgets
Captello
Best for booths built around games and activations.
Captello is an event marketing suite known for booth gamification, plus universal scanning and integrations with Salesforce and Marketo. Its scanners work offline, but lookups and activations need signal.
Price: not published. Capterra lists plans from around $500 per user. Pricing is custom, through sales.
- Your booth strategy is games, contests and activations
- You have a marketing team to run it
- Custom pricing via sales
- Some features need signal on the floor
momencio
Best for teams of 5 or more who present content at the booth.
momencio covers badge scanning through event APIs, business card scanning, surveys and notes, plus presentations, content libraries and microsites on its higher plans.
Price: Capture is $100 per seat a month, billed yearly, with a 5-seat minimum, so it starts at $6,000 a year. Engage is $130 and Amaze is $170 per seat. Contracts run 12 months, and there's no free trial.
- You have 5+ reps and lots of booth content
- You want presentations and microsites in the same tool
- 12-month contract, no refunds mid-term
- No free trial
My honest take
If price per person is everything and your team wants digital business cards, start with Blinq. If you're an enterprise with lots of events and a CRM team, Popl and Cvent iCapture are built for you. If your booth is all about games, look at Captello.
If you're a small team working your own booth and the hard part is the follow-up, that's exactly who I built LazzoLead for. The first 25 leads are free, so you can try it at your next show and decide.
Whatever you pick, the app only matters if you follow up. Here's a simple trade show follow-up plan that works with any of them.
FAQ
What is a trade show lead capture app?
It's an app that turns the people you meet at your booth into leads you can follow up with. Most scan business cards, event badges, or both, and let you add notes so you remember the conversation.
Do I still need to rent the show's badge scanner?
It depends on the app and the show. Some apps read badges with your phone's camera, and some connect to the show's official lead retrieval. Shows with encrypted badges may still require their own license. Card-scanning apps work without it, as long as people hand you a card.
What's the cheapest trade show lead capture app?
On published per-user pricing, Blinq and Wave are the lowest, at around $5 to $7 per user per month for team plans. Popl, Cvent iCapture and Captello don't publish prices, and momencio starts at $6,000 a year.
Which apps work without cell signal?
Most of the apps on this list offer some kind of offline capture, including LazzoLead, Blinq, Popl and Cvent iCapture. Captello's scanners work offline, but lookups need signal. Wave lists offline mode on its Enterprise plan.
What should a small sales team look for?
Pricing you can see without a sales call, no annual contract, capture that's fast on a busy floor, and a simple way to follow up. If you need live CRM sync or badge scanning, make sure the plan you can afford actually includes it.
